SHANA

SHAY-nuh go-ZAN-skee

Hello! My name is Shana (she/her) and it’s very nice to meet you.

I began life in Atlanta, became an adult in NYC, and later landed in the Greater Boston Area.

Directing plays, writing books for kids (& their grownups), and helping parents may seem like VERY different things. To me, they are branches of the same tree.

Everything I do begins with authentic and vulnerable connection and playful curiosity, fueled by a deep love for collaboration and an unshakeable belief that humans are able to grow and thrive when they are treated with respect and have support.

I like people. Of all ages. I revel in hearing their stories and working with them to create new ones. I like watching people discover their creativity and resilience. I like helping people get to where they want to go. I am a bona fide People Person.

I prefer cooking to baking, love to dance, am fascinated by cults, and spend a decent amount of time thinking about what Beyoncé is going to do next. I love a good prat fall, strong coffee, and living a soft pants life.

I live by these three mottos:

Kind, Curious, & Brave

Rigorous &
Joyful

Soft Pants
